Lake Placid, N.Y. (March 17, 2021)– USA Bobsled/Skeleton (USABS) team trials for the 2021-2022 season continue with races in Lake Placid this Saturday through Monday. The races were originally scheduled for next week, but it was decided to move the schedule up due to forecasted warm temperatures.

International federation bobsled and skeleton officials canceled plans to have a training week and World Cup race on the newly built track in Beijing at the end of this year's sliding season, rescheduling it for October 2021. As a result, USABS is holding team selection races this spring with a chance for additional races in the fall if the schedule permits. The 2021-2022 USABS National Team is expected to be named at the start of next season.

The race schedule for Lake Placid is as follows, with all times listed in EST:

Saturday, March 20

12 p.m.: Two-woman bobsled and men’s two-man bobsled race #2

Sunday, March 21

9 a.m.: Women’s and men’s skeleton #3

12 p.m.: Women’s monobob and four-man bobsled #2

Monday, March 22

9 a.m.: Women’s and men’s skeleton #4
